Annual Delinquent Tax Sale to be Held Monday, Oct. 5

Last Day to Pay Delinquent Property Taxes is Friday, Oct. 2

 

The Charleston County Delinquent Tax Division will hold the annual Delinquent Tax Sale for unpaid real estate and mobile home property taxes on Monday, Oct. 5.  The sale will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Charleston County Council Chambers on the second floor of the Lonnie Hamilton III, Public Services Building located at 4045 Bridge View Drive in North Charleston.

 

The last day to pay delinquent property taxes is Friday, Oct. 2. Property owners who have delinquent real estate or mobile home property involved in the upcoming sale are asked to contact the Delinquent Tax Division at (843) 958-4570 or delinquenttax@charlestoncounty.org.

 

Anyone interested in bidding at this year’s tax sale can find the current list of properties, frequently asked questions and answers, online bidder registration and tax sale instructions at http://www.charlestoncounty.org/departments/DelinquentTax/del_tax_sale.htm.

 

Bidders can also register in person before Oct. 5 at the Charleston County Revenue Collections Department office in the Public Services Building, suite B110. On the day of the sale, bidders will have to register in Public Services Building room A-214.

 

Registration is free, and you do not have to register to attend the sale.
