Construction Alert: James Island Public Service District Improves Utilities Along Harbor View Road Work is NOT related to the County’s project on Harbor View Road
The James Island Public Service District will begin utility improvements along Harbor View Road next week for approximately 60 days. The project was developed by the James Island Public Service District and is not a part of or funded by the Charleston County Transportation Sales Tax Program.
Details of the work are:
- Crews will begin to replace and upgrade existing water lines on Monday, July 9.
- The work on Harbor View Road will take place between Mikell Drive and Affirmation Boulevard.
- Construction will occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and is expected to last no more than 60 days.
- The work does not include any lane closures.
- Workers with flags will be on site to direct traffic through the construction zone.
- Drivers traveling through the project’s construction zone are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working in the area at all times. The public is also asked to notice traffic control signs, reductions in speed limit and message board information.
