Hurricane Awareness Workshop/Event on June 1

            Event coordinated by the East Cooper Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

What: Hurricane awareness workshop/event! The event is open and free to the public. There will be demonstrations and speakers who are present to talk about evacuating, insurance, pet safety etc.

When: Friday, June 1 from 4-8 p.m.

Where: Lowes in Mt. Pleasant (1104 Market Center Blvd. Mt. pleasant, SC 29464).  The event will be in the parking lot in front of the store with some of the speakers inside.

Who: East Cooper CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)

Groups participating are:

  Charleston County CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)
  Charleston County Rescue
  Mt. Pleasant Fire Department
  Mt. Pleasant Police Department
  National Weather Service
  Representative from Gov. Sanford's office
  and others
