Charleston County's 15th Annual
Recycled Art Contest Winners

 

1st Place Winner - Student First Place Student: Julia Dotson-Eighth Grader from School of the Arts. Winning Entry entitled “White Birds”. Made with coffee filters, lined paper, chicken wire, tissue paper, newspaper, glue, hot glue, tea/tea bags
   
1st Place Winner - Adult First Place Adult: Trevor Arrowood. Entry entitled “King Street Cobra”. Made from old coca-cola bottle caps, scrap pieces of copper wire, old Bundt cake pans and old spools of thread.
   
Honorable Mention - Robot Honorable Mention: Madeline Vick- Ninth grader from Hanahan High School. Entry entitled “Recycled Robot”. Made with empty tissue box, bottle caps, found padlock, broken light up necklace, old pool hose, broken dental mirror, found can opener, miscellaneous parts of broken household items.
   
Honorable Mention - Shoe Honorable Mention: N/A -Twelfth grader from St. Johns High School. Entry entitled “Can You Walk in my Heel”. Made with wood, gift, cardboard, fabric and CD.
   
Honorable Mention - Fish Honorable Mention: Ashley Freeman-Twelfth grader from St. Johns HS. Entry entitled “Mirror Fish”. Made with soda cans, cardboard, wood , paint and CDs.
