Emergency Medical Service Communications, also known as the Dispatch Center, provides an integral support function for all emergency responders. Emergency Dispatchers, or tele-communicators, are the eyes and ears of responding emergency crews, a partner to teammates in the field and the voice of calm to a caller in need of help. Emergency Dispatchers are the first responders with whom a patient, victim or other customer comes in contact via the telephone 911 system. The Dispatch Center utilizes the TriTech Computer Aided Dispatch and emergency dispatch protocols endorsed by the National Academies of Emergency Dispatch. |
