November 5-17, 2006 – Run advertisements in local newspapers. Place information regarding the process on the County’s homepage along with the application.
November 17, 2006 – Hold a pre-application workshop. The workshop will cover information on the application and any specific criteria requested.
January 31, 2007 – Applications, as well as any requested information, are due by 5 p.m. Applications must be received in the Grants Department and cannot be faxed in. Any applications received after the deadline will not be forwarded to Council.
February-April 2007 – A review committee (comprised of staff from Budget, Legal, and Grants) will examine all applications and determine those applicants who are qualified for funding under the Policy set forth by County Council.
May 15, 2007 – A package of all qualified applications will be prepared for Council’s review.
May 22, 2007* – Public Hearing for Contributions funding.
June 5, 2007* – Council appropriates total dollar amount for Contributions funding.
July 10, 2007* – Council allocates individual dollar amounts to specific entities.
July 16, 2007 – Contracts are distributed to entities.
August 15, 2007 – Disbursement of Funds to all entities.
February 15, 2008 – Interim Report due to Grants Department.
July 15, 2008 – Final report due to Grants Department regarding the expenditures of the funds received.
