Charleston County Public Works

The Charleston County Public Works Department constructs and maintains some area roads and stormwater drainage systems, performs mosquito control services, and manufactures and installs road signs. The Department provides sevices to all unincorporated areas of the County and assists local municipalities.

This department does not provide:

• Water or sewer services. See Water and Sewer Authorities.
• Garbage collection. Contact your municipality, public service district, or private hauler.
• Recycling services. See Charleston County Solid Waste-Recycling Department.
