Buying Recycled
Buying Recycled

Buying recycled and recyclable goods is just as important as recycling. It takes time to get into the habit of making sure that most products you buy can be recycled or reused. Below are some tips to help you out.
What to buy?
- #1 and #2 plastic bottles - Limit the amount of products you purchase with plastics numbered 3 through 7 because they are not recyclable in our county.
- Glass bottles and aluminum cans - When possible, consumers should try to use reusable containers.
- Steel cans - like soup and coffee cans.
- Recycled paper - Read the label to find out how much of that paper was made from recycled materials. Also, look for the acronyms PCC (post consumer content) and PCW (post consumer waste).
