Recycle at Your Event
Charleston County allows event organizers to borrow event bins in order to collect recyclables. The event bins are used to collect plastic #1 and #2 bottles, glass bottles and aluminum cans. These bins benefit events that would attract more recyclables than what regular household bins could manage.
The County will also supply the clear plastic bags to go in the bin and advise you on the best place to take the recyclables after your event in the case that your event site does not have a recycling drop site. If you bring your recyclables back to the Recycling Center, staff can weigh them for you to let you know how successful you were and to help you set recycling goals for future events.
