Parks and Recreation

The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission serves residents countywide, providing several major park facilities, beachfront and waterway access plus recreation activities. Both the North Charleston Parks and Recreation Department and the St. Andrew's Parks and Playground Commission serve only residents in their respective areas. Additionally, a number of area municipalities have parks and recreation programs. For information on those activities, contact your local municipality.
