Lane Closure on N. Spartan Boulevard Scheduled for Feb. 12-19

Charleston County RoadWise advises the public of a lane closure on North Spartan Boulevard in North Charleston that will occur Thursday, Feb. 12, - Thursday, Feb. 19, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The southbound lane of North Spartan Boulevard will be closed to place an 18-inch reinforced concrete pipe under the existing road. Once the southbound lane is completed, it will be reopened to traffic, and the northbound lane will then be closed to place the pipe under the existing road.

At no point will the entire roadway be blocked to traffic. Traffic traveling in each direction on North Spartan Boulevard will be affected for approximately 1,500 feet.

The public is asked to be aware of the reduced speed limit of 25 mph and the flagman operations in this area.

Charleston County RoadWise is the name of Charleston County Government’s management program for the construction of roads, highways, resurfacing, paving and drainage projects that are funded by the Transportation Sales Tax.
