Beginning in 2004, Charleston County Council members are elected from Single-Member Districts. Voters will choose representatives in Districts 3, 4, 6, and 7 in the 2008 General Election.
To determine your County Council District, you can search the S.C. Election Commission Web site by selecting Charleston County from the drop down menu.
The links below provide are Adobe Acrobat files with copies of the Charleston County Single-Member District Maps. Once you have the file open, use the zoom tool (resembles a magnifying glass on the top left of the Acrobat tool bar) to view details such a street names or other natural boundary identifiers.
These maps were created for viewing on your computer screen, and may not print well enough on your home printer to view all of the details. Printed copies of the maps are available through the Geographic Information Systems office by calling (843) 958-4028.
