Assessment Services

Back to Home

The first step in getting help for yourself or a loved one is to call for an initial assessment or screening. Charleston Center operates a confidential helpline 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Counselors and triage professionals can provide information, set-up emergency inpatient or detoxification admissions, schedule assessments for outpatient services and provide referrals to other agencies as needed.

Note: Decisions on inpatient or outpatient admissions are based on a variety of assessment criteria including medical need, usage history, motivation for treatment and other considerations, and decisions may not always be exactly what a client thinks he or she needs or wants.

If you think you may have a problem, try answering the questions below.
