BECOME A RECYCLING VOLUNTEER! Charleston County Environmental Management is always looking for volunteers. Contact Theresa Martin at (843) 720-7111 or tmartin@charlestoncounty.org  if you would like to volunteer for any of the following events:

     Earth Day

  • December 13, 2009 – Mt. Pleasant Christmas Parade – Check out Charleston County Recycling’s float!
     

  • Jan. 2 – 9, 2010 – Christmas Tree Recycling at the Landfill – Bring your tree for recycling and in exchange you will get a free bag of compost.
     

  • March 13, 2010Tri-County Carolina Yard Experience – It’s all about the yard! Come out to the Ladson Fairgrounds and learn all about greening your yard. The Lawn Mower Exchange will take place in the parking lot. Charleston County will also be accepting HHM’s and Electronics for recycling. More details to come!
     

  • March 27, 2010 – Cooper River Bridge Run – Come out and help Charleston County Recycling pick up recyclables at the event.
