Charleston County Clerk of Court Julie J. Armstrong was first elected in 1992 and is currently serving in her fifth term. Prior to being elected for her first term, she served as an Administrator in the 9th Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s office. She has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston and belongs to several political and civic organizations. Among those organizations she serves as the President of the South Carolina Association of Clerks of Court and Registers of Deeds, a Board member with the South Carolina Association of Counties, and as a member of various committees appointed by the Chief Justice of South Carolina.
