New Hours for Environmental Management Convenience Centers

            Centers will have reduced hours from Nov. 1 – March 1

 

Charleston County’s Environmental Management Department (formerly known as the Solid Waste and Recycling Department) has adjusted the hours of operation for its staffed convenience centers around daylight-saving time. The new hours will allow for the convenience centers to be open only during daylight hours.

The new hours for all convenience centers are:

• Nov. 1 through March 1
  Open 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily
  Except Wednesdays and Sundays, open 1 – 6 p.m.

• March 2 through Oct. 31
  Open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily
  Except Wednesdays and Sundays, open 1 – 7 p.m.

The staffed convenience centers, which accept both household garbage and recyclable materials, are located at:

The Charleston County Recycling Center’s (located at 13 Romney Street in downtown Charleston) hours of operation will remain the same: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
