Overview

For over 30 years, Charleston Center has provided treatment services for individuals suffering from opiate addictions which include addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers and other narcotics. These services include use of narcotic replacement medications such as Methadone or Suboxone combined with the full continuum of counseling treatment services, including inpatient and outpatient detoxification.

Treatment Philosophy

Charleston Center is committed to encouraging our clients to make informed choices regarding treatment for their addiction. We believe that maintaining narcotic replacement medications or starting a process to become drug-free are equally valid choices. Our responsibility to our clients is to support and offer them the professional assistance to develop the life skills and insight to be successful whichever choice they make.

Our goal is to promote healthy lifestyles and to help reduce the harm caused by drug dependence in the individuals we serve.

Cost of Services

The Opioid Treatment Program is a packaged service; the daily/weekly/monthly rates include outpatient counseling within the program as well as the cost of narcotic replacement medication.

What to Expect

Our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) offers personalized treatment services for heroin and prescription narcotic dependence. Charleston Center’s medical and clinical staff carefully assess each individual to recommend the most effective treatment for their addiction.

Charleston Center's OTP is a service that focuses on medically monitored detoxification or maintenance treatment utilizing the narcotic replacement medications Methadone or Suboxone. These options are combined with individualized counseling services. Frequently, persons seeking help with heroin or other narcotic dependence also have problems with other drugs. Should an individual enrolled in the OTP require more intensive levels of services for their other drug problems, Charleston Center is uniquely equipped to maintain individuals on narcotic replacement medication while they are concurrently involved in the higher levels of services that we offer.
