Report Weather Damage
Citizens are asked to report storm-related structure damage/debris at this link: Citizen Damage Report (arcgis.com). This will support Charleston County’s eligibility to request federal assistance based on the number and severity of damaged structures. Here is a link for information on Individual Assistance www.FEMA.gov | Assistance.
All repairs needed as a result of damage that occurred during the storm event will require permits from the Charleston County Building Inspection Services Department. Emergency repairs of essential services can be carried out immediately, but a permit application must be submitted within the next working business day to the Building Inspection Services Department. You may also request a temporary permit via the Citizen Damage Report link.
Please email FloodServices@CharlestonCounty.org or call the Floodplain Division at 843-202-6969 if you need assistance or would like to report damage.
