Zoning & Planning

The following areas/services are available from the Charleston County Zoning and Planning Department:

• Continuing Education Opportunities - attend webinars and the state-mandated zoning and planning orientation course to stay informed of planning and zoning laws and trends. Contact Jenny Werking at Planning@CharlestonCounty.org to find out what events are coming up in the near future.
• Special Planning Projects - stay informed of special planning projects that may be affecting your citizens.
• Charleston County Comprehensive Plan - review the Charleston County Comprehensive Plan to understand how and where we anticipate growth occurring. The most recent Plan was adopted in January 2015 after a two-year public planning process.
